Buckfastleigh Recycling Centre to close…
Posted on February 23rd, 2011 1 commentDevon County Council have decided to close the recycling centre at Bulley Cleaves.
It will close on Sunday March 27th.Buck the Trend would like to send our condolences to all those who have lost their jobs and say thank-you for the work they have put in over the last years.
We are working with local councillors and others to try and find an alternative which will stop recyclable material ending up in black-bins or being fly-tipped.

Ashburton Futures Bulk Solar Energy Panel Scheme
Posted on February 15th, 2011 No commentsAshburton Futures (AF) is setting up a bulk purchase scheme for solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal panels for residents of Ashburton. The idea of the scheme is that if a large number of people club together to install similar schemes at the same time then the installer will provide these schemes at a discount.
Through discussions between AF and Buck The Trend, this scheme is now open to residents of Buckfastleigh, Buckfast and the surrounding area.
This scheme has now been launched and the deadline for expressing an interest is Wednesday 22nd February.

Whitecleaves Quarry
Plans to create a plant in Whitecleaves Quarry to recycle ash into material for road-building and other construction will be on show at St Luke’s Church Hall, Buckfastleigh on Friday 18th February between 1pm and 7pm.
