    Wildspace – the group who are growing the green wildlife garden behind the town hall, are putting on some free events over the summer holidays…


    Saturday 11th August  at 2.00pm – Creative Crafty Plants
    Be inspired by the plant shapes in the Wildspace Garden. Make your own Devonian plants and animals to take home. For age 4 and up. Will take place in the Town Hall if wet.

    Sunday 12th August at 2.00pm – Wild food walk
    With Fiona Campbell – starting and ending in the Wildspace Garden at the rear of the Town Hall.  A short walk will be followed exploring the wild foods availbale in the hedgerows and roadsides around Buckfastleigh. Bring collecting baskets and then come back to the garden to cook pizza and salad from our findings. Suitable for all.

    Thursday 16th August at 2.00pm – Minibeast Spotting
    To include drawing with local naturalist and wildlife expert, John Walters. Explore the fantastic insects that are all around us; learn about their behaviours and discover their world.

    Sunday 26th August 10.00am to 3.00pm – Palletopia Workshop
    Use old wooden pallets to build compost bins for the garden, plus benches etc. Learn how to utilise this free resource and recycle old wood into useful things for your garden or allotment. Open to all, but places limited so please book on 07811 118997. Suitable for young people and adults.
