    1) Election News…
Although the election results might not have been what we hoped for, the good news is that we voted in a new Town Council, with all of the 9 Buckfastleigh Independent Group candidates (several of whom are members of BTT) being elected. The group plans to make the council’s actions transparent, engage everyone in planning the community’s future and try to act more as a crucible for community initiatives. At the moment we are reviewing the meeting and committee structures aiming to come up with more friendly and accessible versions. Meetings will be better publicised and more fun (hopefully!) and everyone is welcome to attend. If you have suggestions or ideas that you would like to help put into practice, contact Andy on info@buckthetrend.info
